Steinberg, Senior Counsel and Group Head of the firm’s Insurance Defense & Coverage Group, recently had his article, “Does an Insurer’s Reservation of Rights Trigger an Obligation To Inform the Insured of Its Right To Select Counsel?”, published in The New York Law Journal.  In the article, Jeff discusses State Farm Fire v. Russo, where the Appellate Division, Second Department addressed the question of whether an insurer has an obligation to advise the insured of its right to independent counsel.
