Congratulations to Jillian Kuper, Associate in Dorf Nelson & Zauderer’s Litigation Department and Healthcare & General Liability Defense Group, for securing a full dismissal of plaintiff’s complaint.  The plaintiff claimed she sustained personal injuries due to an alleged defective stairwell in her apartment building which was owned by our client. In her motion for summary judgment, Jillian successfully argued that the plaintiff could not identify the precise cause of her fall without resorting to speculation and submitted video footage as evidence that contradicted plaintiff’s claims. The Court agreed with Jillian’s arguments and dismissed the complaint in its entirety, a rare outcome in Bronx County but a fantastic outcome for the client!
